Our campaign has officially launched as of February 1, 2017 with this announcement from Temple Reyim President, Andy Offit.
Friends,
"Campaign for Reyim" is officially launched!
I am thrilled to share that our Board of Directors has
approved the first campaign for our community in over 15 years. "Campaign
for Reyim" has high goals. We will reach out to everyone, and strive for
100% participation. We seek to raise at least $2 million to ensure Reyim has
continued growth, financial strength, and operational flexibility for decades
to come.
"Campaign for Reyim's" five primary goals are:
- eliminating our debt burden
- replacing our roof and adding solar energy
- enabling financial flexibility to add additional staff in
the future
- freshening up our space
- building much needed reserve funds for future needs
Leslie Crane has agreed to join me in co-chairing the
campaign. Joining our Campaign Committee are Bob Sullaway, Stuart Rossman, Joel
Sowalsky, Ellen Tanowitz, Eva Radding, David Stollar, Mara Bloom, Millie
Kessler and Beth Byer. We are approaching many more of our members to build a
vibrant and diverse campaign cabinet.
We have begun securing initial leadership pledges. Our
campaign consultancy, Copley Raff, has conducted 25 one-on-one meetings with
our members, and while far from finalized, we have initial indications for well
over $800,000 in pledges.
This campaign is a critical next step for our community, as
we build on our very special history and four years of hard work by Rabbi
Berman and our lay leadership team to make Reyim a meaningful, Jewish spiritual
home for us all. We are growing in every aspect: membership, including many
young families, meaningful programs, and most importantly, golden moments. Raising these much-needed funds will ensure
we stay on this exciting path for a long time.
Leslie and I will be hosting two informational sessions
about our campaign. The sessions will be on Wednesday, February 15 at 7.30 pm
and Tuesday, February 21 at 7.30 pm. Please come, learn more, ask questions,
and help us ensure the future of our beloved shul.
I look forward to this journey together.
Andy
